Earthy tones and empowering lyrics ground Krysta Joy in a soulful output of her honest ramblings.

Starting as a multi-instrumentalist at the tender age of 7, Krysta was a drummer first before picking up the guitar and song-writing a year later. Today, the songstress plays the guitar with the tenacity of a seasoned drummer and colours in her music with lyrics of hope.

Krysta aspires to inspire all to embody the value of self-love and growth in every season of life, intentionally revolving her music around such themes and complementing it with her flair for music arrangement. Her live performances are punctuated with the artfulness of practiced music sensibilities and the vulnerability of lyrical story-telling.

After being awarded the Noise Music Award by the National Arts Council in 2018, under the tutelage of Vanessa Fernandez (Vandetta) and Jack Ho (Jack & Rai), Krysta has ventured out to establish her name and purpose in the local music scene. She has been featured on The Straits Times, Bandwagon, Youth.SG and other media channels, as well as released her debut 5-track EP "Enjoy the Process" in August 2019.

Her latest 10-track LP "Embrace the Progress" is an extension of the mentioned, expanding on the themes of hope and growth. Through this vulnerable musical narrative, Krysta hopes to encourage listeners who may relate to the content, as well as promote the importance of celebrating the small wins in life.
